Artist statement Project #1

For this project I created a series of AI images using DALLE 2 and then glitched them. I primarily used Photoshop as my means of glitching because I preferred the aesthetic of the outcomes compared to some of the other methods. The AI images that I rendered presented animals in unlikely places or situations. This was the common thread that linked my pieces. Although it was not necessarily intentional, the animal series I created seems to make a humorous critique on society. By placing animals in human contexts it only pokes fun at the mundane activities we brainlessly participate in but it also comments on the animalistic and often brutal nature of humans. I explored making glitched Gifs and making my AI creations come to life.
